What Is CPD?


Development (CPD) for Local Councils

Was launched on 28th October 2007 at the Society of Local Council Clerks' (SLCC) national conference.

CPD is a product funded by the National Training Strategy and has been developed by the SLCC in association with NALC.

To assist with the creation of a CPD plan and records, we are developing an online service. The revised dates when these plans and records will now be available are listed below - we're sorry that it's taking a few extra weeks to present you with a quality product.

  • April 2008 - Institute (ILCM) Members
  • April/May 2008 - General release to all Clerks and other Local Council officers

Meanwhile, whilst the online service is being "road tested", you may wish to download the Interim CPD Development Plan spreadsheet so that you create a plan on your own PC. This Excel spreadsheet is a simple form, designed to be used in conjunction with the CPD Brochure. Please follow the guidance notes when completing the Excel spreadsheet.
